Welcome to Jelajah Malaysia 2016

Jelajah Malaysia 2016 will take off on October 18th at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. The 5-day tour will then head to Perak, Pahang, Kelantan and finally finishing in Terengganu. 120 cyclists from 20 teams will race to win the 5 jerseys on offer, the Overall Champion, Sprint King, King of the Mountain, Best Young Rider and Malaysian Best Rider. Apart from that, JM2016 designed a quite challenging route, especially the climb to Cameron Highlands, and also the 206.6 KM race from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh.

STAGE 1 - Start - Dataran Merdeka Kuala Lumpur | 18 October 2016 | 206.5KM

Merdeka Square (Malay: Dataran Merdeka) is a square located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Literally Independence Square, it was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the "Padang" and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now Royal Selangor Club).

STAGE 1 - Finish - BANDAR MERU RAYA PERSIARAN MERU RAYA 1, IPOH | 18 October 2016 | 206.5KM

Bandar Meru Raya is a new township in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. It is located between Jelapang and Chemor. The township includes various new shops, a shopping mall, a bus and taxi terminal, and the Tenby International School. Located across the North-South Highway from Jelapang, Meru Raya is set to also house over 10 government buildings, including those for the Ministry of Home Affairs, Perak Foundation and others.

Brinchang is the highest and second largest township of Cameron Highlands, situated 1,450 meters above sea level on a gently sloping plateau about 2km after Tanah Rata or 3km before Kea Farm.
